This one was fun. It felt like a 24hr film festival.
After speaking to the showrunner about the show I remember walking over to our props room to see if there was anything to spark an idea. While in there I ran into one of our DPs, Cameron Reeve. We chatted it up and he asked if he could run cameras.
After sketching some boards out, I grabbed a coworker to stand in as our model/actor and shot this in an unused office space no more than 100 feet from my own office over the course of an afternoon.
I made the wire transfer animation in advance and we looped it on a monitor. For the slow motion gun shot I took stills we shot of the gun, casing, and a bg plate, brought them into AE and animated the movement.
